My latest LP guide gives the opening hours 9AM - 5PM but there are several other posts and websites that say its open earlier. Suggest you get in just as they open.
From the bus station, you can catch a cab or take the metro back into the city.Like many other archeological sites, most of the fun is imagining what it must’ve been like during its peak.
Those are the hours mentioned in the guide book I used as well.

Be sure to spend some time taking it all in!Head down the stairs of the Pyramid of the Moon and your next stop will be on the right, in the southwest corner of the plaza.You can also find art inside of the Palace of the Jaguars (Continue past the Pyramid of the Sun (notice how many more tourists are now climbing up) and follow the signs for “Museo”.
*There is an option to take the bus to Teotihuacan and it’s much less expensive, but as far as we know you won’t make it early enough for sunrise. You may notice as you are planning your Mexico City trip that a lot of the major attractions are closed on Mondays. You may spend longer, especially if you’re history buffs. This was our favorite part of the whole complex.Although you can only hike halfway up, the perspective of the city from the first platform is truly amazing. Our favorite part was the After climbing stairs all morning our legs were burning and our stomachs were growling. Has anyone been relatively recently who can shed some light on when the site opens as we ideally want to be getting in as soon as it opens! I know that most Mexican archaeological museums close on Mondays but again various sites state that the Teotihuacan museums are open on Mondays.
They’re based on a ritual calendar of 260 days, pointing to the sunrises and sunsets of the winter and summer solstices. Most individual tourists aware of what Teotihuacan looks like at midday try to come at the opening time. You can take the bus outside of P3 on the road.

We were there on last thurday (29th) and reached about 8:25a.m. They also found burial sites of children at the corners of the structure, leading them to believe that they were part of important sacrificial rituals.Researchers believe the platform on the pyramid was used for public ritual sacrifice and ceremonies in honor of the Great Goddess of Teotihuacan. So what time does Teotihuacan open?
Rest assured that I have done so but am still completely unsure of the answers to my questions.
Anyone know if the site is open or has limited hours on Christmas. The entrance fee is included in the original ticket and it’s nice to learn more about the civilizations that lived there.
