I had never heard of this guy (considering it took 25 years to arrest him, not surprising). There are layers to this story - an entire community is, and was, terrorized; though invisible to the local police department. There is enough responsibility or lack thereof, for it taking 25 years to arrest Lonnie, for everyone involved. The fact that these murders spanned decades makes clear that this community was forgotten, and continues to be to this day. This is one of the best crime documentaries I've seen. Then in order to get their 15 minutes of fame they decided to speak up. Lonnie's three male neighbor friends just wanted to cover up, at first, for their serial killer friend, Lonnie. Many of those interviewed had plenty of information, pictures, evidence, blood, and they just ignored it. This is a film that is shocking to see because it lays bare the underside of American society that few are willing to countenance.
