The main characters of this non fiction, biography story are , . The negatives pointed out could be true - Not for a whole country, only individual elements here and there. I was amazed by this woman's perseverence and bravery. The story is told exclusively from Betty Mahmoody's perspective and seems to skew heavily towards her particular biases. If this is how they really are, maybe they have different standards in their family than she did.
